This privacy policy sets out and informs you of how Centaur Clinical uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this site, which can be accessed from the following URL : www.centaurclinical.com.

Please note that this privacy policy may be amended or supplemented at any time by Centaur Clinical, in particular in order to comply with any changes in legislation, regulations, case law or technology. In such a case, the date of the update will be clearly identified at the top of this policy. These changes are binding on the User as soon as they are put online. In general, you may visit the Centaur Clinical website without providing any personal information about yourself. In any event, you are under no obligation to transmit this information to Centaur Clinical.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) adopted by the European Parliament on 14 April 2016, and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés) of 6 January 1978 as amended, Centaur Clinical informs you of the following.

I-1. Identity of the data controller

The company responsible for processing is Centaur Clinical, whose registered office is at 399 Chemin de la Bonde, 13120 Gardanne.

I-2. Purposes of processing

Centaur Clinical is likely to process your Personal Information:

a) As part of the performance of a contract

  • Identification and authentication of the customer or user;
  • Communications with the customer (technical and commercial support);

  • Management of rights and requests to exercise personal rights;

I-3. Recipients

Centaur Clinical is the sole recipient of your Personal Information. This information, whether in individual or aggregated form, is never passed on to a third party, notwithstanding any sub-contractors that Centaur Clinical may use.

I-4. Shelf life

We only keep your data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes mentioned above or to enable us to meet our legal obligations.

I-5. Security of your data

Centaur Clinical has defined technical and organisational measures to protect your data appropriately according to its nature, the extent of the processing and its accessibility. This may involve, for example, data encryption, management of access rights, secure data flows, etc.

Respect for the security and protection of your data applies to all our employees and our service providers.

II-1. Right of access and communication of data

You have the right to access the Personal Information concerning you, in writing only.

However, due to Centaur Clinical’s obligation of security and confidentiality in the processing of personal data, you are informed that your request will be processed provided that you can prove your identity, in particular by producing a signed photocopy of your valid identity document.

Centaur Clinical will be entitled, if necessary, to oppose manifestly abusive requests (by their number, repetitive or systematic nature).

To help you with your request, particularly if you wish to exercise your right of access by sending a written request to the postal address mentioned in paragraph II-5 “How to exercise your right”, you will find a model letter to send to us on the website of the Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés – CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

II-2. Right to rectify data

Under this right, the law entitles you to request the rectification, updating, blocking or deletion of data concerning you that may be inaccurate, incorrect, incomplete or obsolete.

You may also define general and specific directives concerning the fate of your personal data after your death. Where applicable, the heirs of a deceased person may request that the death of their relative be taken into account and/or that the necessary updates be made.

To help you with your request, particularly if you wish to exercise your right to rectification on your own behalf or on behalf of a deceased relative, please send a written request to the postal address given in point 1. The Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés (CNIL) website (www.cnil.fr) provides a model letter to be sent to us.

II-3. Right to object

This right can only be exercised in one of the following two situations:

  • When the exercise of this right is based on legitimate grounds;
  • or When the exercise of this right aims to prevent the data collected from being used for commercial prospecting purposes.

II-6. Response times

Centaur Clinical undertakes to reply to your request for access, rectification or opposition or any other additional request for information within a reasonable period of time, which may not exceed 1 month from receipt of your request.

II-7. Complaint to the competent authority

If you consider that Centaur Clinical is not complying with its obligations with regard to your Personal Information, you may lodge a complaint or a request with the competent authority. In France, the competent authority is the CNIL, to which you can send a request electronically by visiting the CNIL website (www.cnil.fr).
